Why do so many people in our community turn to Koinonia?

Like you, we believe that people with developmental disabilities deserve the full experience of community – opportunities to live, work, engage, and contribute in every way imaginable.

Because of our supporters, our programs and services have changed significantly throughout our 40 year history, creating a wealth of new job skill training and vocational services to meet evolving needs, while providing the type of opportunities people with developmental disabilities want and deserve. But there is so much more work to do…

Last year, Koinonia Enterprises provided over 100,000 hours of curriculum-based job seeking sessions, and over 1,200 hours of job coaching services, helping 165 adults with developmental disabilities explore career and vocational services.

We’ve helped people like Damon, who is celebrating his one-year anniversary of employment at Fredon (a NEO manufacturing company) this month. Damon is living proof that, with your help, we can successfully support individuals we serve in becoming the loyal, productive and quality employees so many employers in Northeast Ohio want and need.
